Like any plant, however, it’s important to exercise proper care to ensure you get the most from your plant all summer long, year after year.
Watering
Always water thoroughly during initial planting, using as much water as necessary thoroughly water plants and surrounding bed. For the first 3-4 weeks it is important to regularly check and water your plants. Water the plant about every third day for three weeks. Following the third, only water when necessary.
- Always check moisture of soil prior to watering.
- During exceptionally hot periods, hydrangeas may require more frequent watering.
